Google and Sony Ericsson Collaborate To Incorporate Google Search Engine into Sony Ericsson Phones March 1st , 2006
Google
and Sony Ericsson have today announced that they have
been collaborating together for a while now to incorporate
Google's Blogger and Web Search features into Sony Ericsson cell phones. Therefore from now on, most
Sony Ericsson cell phones will come built in with blogger
features as well as an integrated search engine, making
browsing and searching on cell phones much more easier.
Furthermore, icons directly starting
up Google's web search page have been integrated into
the phones' navigation keypad. Some of the first cell
phones that have this feature include:
- Sony Ericsson K800
- Sony Ericsson K790a
- Sony Ericsson K610
Also, all of the Sony Ericsson cell
phones will have their default search engine homepages
set to Google. A quick easy toolbar allows people to search
Google's engine without actually going to google.com and
typing it in. How much more easier can it get!?
Jan Wareby, Head of Sales and Marketing,
Sony Ericsson quotes, "We are seeing exponential
growth in blogging and consumers are turning more and
more often to the Internet as a means of sharing information
or images in personal blogs. By working with Google, we're
able to offer a quick and easy way for people to blog
as they discover how convenient it is as a way to share
words and pictures."
