Samsung Announces the SGH-D870, a 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera Slider Phone March 14th, 2006
Samsung
yesterday announced a new slider phone, the SGH-D870 to
its impressive line up of slim slider phones at CeBIT
conference in Hanover, Germany. Weighing 93 grams and
featuring a 256k TFT (Thin Film Transistor) color screen,
the Samsung SGH-D870 has a 3.2 megapixel digital camera
deploying a vast number of sophisticated features, some
of which include:
- Video capture and playback (2048 x
1536 pixels)
- MP3, MP4 and AAC format support
- Zoom, auto focus
- Java MIDP 2.0 support
Supporting Bluetooth capabilities and
EDGE compatible, the SGH-D870 provides 80mb of internal
memory. Furthermore, if you want to add more memory to
the box, Samsung has provided a microSD expansion slot
that allows you to allocate and add more internal memory.
Integrated with the phone is PictBridge
software that helps users transfer photos directly to
a printer, without the need of a Personal Computer.
The phone can read and work with Ms
Office files such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well
as Adobe PDF.
