Sharp Launches 3.2 Megapixel Camera, the 904SH March 4th , 2006
Japanese
cell phones can beat any other at any time! Sharp has
once again proven this by launching the Sharp 904sh with
a VGA LCD color display (resolution of 480 x 640 pixels).
When comparing the VGA LCD screens to TFT (Thin Film Transistor)
screens, the VGA LCD are upto 4 times more vibrant and
beautiful in terms of resolution!
Added to the high resolution screen,
the Sharp 904sh has a built in 3.2 megapixel camera with
2x zoom, auto focus and much more. With a 3.2 megapixel
camera, users can take sharp, crisp photos and share them
with loved ones using the built in MMS (multimedia messaging
services) capabilities.
One neat feature that the Japanese have
built into this phone is the Face Recognition system.
If your phone gets stolen, the 904sh will discontinue
to work and cease upon the thief. This is because it only
knows your face (thus face recognition) and will recognize
only your face. Thus if a thief wants to use your phone,
it will stop working. Neat stuff huh!?
Another neat feature built in is the
3D motion sensor. With this sensor, you can see the star/constellation
systems in space, directly from where you are. This enhances
your mobile experience a great deal! Vodafone has integrated
a "Seiza o Sagaso" software, which translates
to "Lets look for constellations" This is an
application that will display the constellations and stars
in the skies depending on how the phone is pointed towards
the sky.

Some other notable features
of the Sharp 904sh include:
- VGA LCD display (480 x 640 pixels)
- 3.2 megapixel camera with 2x zoom,
auto focus, etc.
- 3D Motion sensor system
- miniSD cards that allow you to store

want to attach more memory into the phone)
- 262K color display (ASV LCD)
- Video recording and editing
Sharp 904sh weighs 151 grams and measures
4 x 1.96 x 1.10 inches. The battery has a talk time of
4 hours and standby time of 360 hours. The phone has integrated
email capabilities, bluetooth and java (that lets you
download and listen to ringtones). The phone is expected
to be available by April 2006, in Japan.
