Cingular has today announced the release of the LG CG300 flip style clamshell phone, which is a successor to the previous F7200 handset. This phone is geared towards both the savvy high-tech consumer with advanced features such as integrated digital camera, push-to-talk capabilities, speakerphone and lots of other multimedia. When it comes to the business side of things, the LG CG300 offers integrated Bluetooth technology working together with GPRS offering high speed internet browsing.

Screen

Weighing at 96 grams and offering a 5-way navigation keypad, the LG CG300 comes with a 65k TFT (Thin Film Transistor) color screen. This makes the phone lightened up at all times and very vibrant. Important information such as time, date, battery levels, caller ID and signal strenght is also shown.

Note: LG CG300 has an external OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) screen that has the following advantages:

- Produces brighter, sharper and more clearer images.
- OLED screens refresh at much faster rates than other screens and are therefore better at viewing videos.
- It is estimated that OLED screens provide 4 times as much colors as LCD screens.

Digital Camera

LG CG300 comes built in with a 1.3 megapixel digital camera allowing you to take quality print photos of your best moments. Offering a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a 3x zoom feature, you will not only able to take high quality resolution photos but also videos (thanks Video Recorder feature built in).

WAP Internet

The LG CG300 has a WAP 2.0 browser allowing you to surf at whatever Internet websites you wish to check out. When it comes to speed, the phone has plenty. Built in with GPRS Class 10 that provides ultra high data transfer rates, users can download multimedia content from internet websites such as 3gp videos, ringtones, screensavers and more.

Thanks to the J2ME MIDP 2.0 built in, users can now download tons of cell phone games, java applications, ringtones, videos and more to their cell phone. By synchronizing the phone with a PC (via PC Sync), you can transfer multimedia content from your PC to the phone via Bluetooth technology.
