Introduction
Undisputedly one of the greatest designers on the cell phone market, Motorola launches a new cellphone called Motorola KRZR K1. As the previous cellphones MOTORARZ and MOTOSLVR have been a huge hit to the market, Motorola decided to launch another type of cellphones to continue this line of success. The new phone design features a shiny reflective surface. Launched at the beginning of September, Motorola KRZR K1 is an all-in-one ultimate cellphone, allowing users to listen to music, take photos, connect to Internet and many more. Featuring worldwide four band connectivity and hi speed EDGE technology, the cell phone is a good asset for any user.
The KRZR, also knows as Crazier, with its first cellphone from the family - K1, is a combination between this innovative surface and the styles of RAZR, PEBL and earlier Motorola cell phones. What makes a difference is the metallic gloss finish on the front of the phone.
Some extra thickness is added in comparison to the ultra slim RAZR, more precisely 2mm. In this matter, the cell phone cannot be considered ultra slim anymore. The dimensions of the cellphone are 103 x 42 x 16 mm and the weight is about 102 g, which makes it easy to be carried in a purse or even a pocket.
The main screen of the cellphone uses TFT technology and has 176 x 220 px with a range of 262k colors. On the other hand, the external screen has a size of 96 x 80 px, supporting less colors, 65k.

Camera
The integrated digital camera can be accessed directly through the home screen. The loading time is about five seconds, summing a average to slow performance. The minus is that before taking a picture the user has to wait about eight seconds, before being able to push the shutter button. The camera is 2MP, giving higher quality pictures than other phones, and the digital zoom is up to 8x. There is flash available when taking a picture, and you can change Color Style, Exposure and White Balance properties, or also set a self timer. Unlike the D900 (Samsung's 3-megapixel shooter), the KRZR is not designed to shoot in portrait orientation and the pictures are taken at a resolution of 1600 by 1200 pixels. A secondary video VGA call camera is available.
Similar to the V3i, the RZR has two players: a simple sound player and music player written in Java. The internal memory is only of 20Mb, but there is a slot for expandable memory, so you could add more than 1 Gb storage space.
Communication wise, Motorola KRZR K1 offers multiple options, from text messaging to e mail by POP or IMAP. The KRZR is a quad band cell phone, making it useful abroad in many countries. It is 2G phone, and it supports EDGE data, although the 3G UMTS would have been a must. MOTOKRZR features GPRS Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots) and the data speed is of 32 - 48 kbps.
The phone comes with games and you can also download some new games if you'd like.
