Introduction

Samsung has decided to put a little twist to its latest set of handets, by producing sleek and slim flip style clamshells that fair well with consumers. The Samsung T809 is a good example of that. Boasting tons of sophisticated multimedia features such as a 1.3 megapixel camera with 8x zoom, video capture and playback and more, and an integrated MP3 player with external stereo speakers.

Not to be left behind, the Samsung T809 also provides Bluetooth capability allowing the phone to communicate with many other devices (e.g Personal Computer, PDA, Ipod) within a 10 metre radius.

Also, the phone allows you to browse the Internet and download files at high speed rates thanks to EDGE technology. On top of the 70mb memory already allocated, the memory can be expanded via a microSD expansion slot.

Digital Camera and Other Basic Features

The Samsung T809 comes with a built in 1.3 megapixel digital camera, that can take high to medium quality print photos. The available resolution sizes are:

- 1280 by 1024 pixels
- 1152 by 864 pixels
- 800 by 600 pixels
- 640 by 480 pixels
- 320 by 240 pixels
- 240 by 320 pixels
- 240 by 180 pixels

Because the phone has 1.3 megapixels, you may experience some blurryness when taking photos at 1280 by 1024 pixels. You can get rid of the blurryness however, by lowering the resolution to something like 800 by 600 pixels. The zooming features of the camera are also very sophisticated. They include an 8x optical zoom and auto focus. 8x optical zoom allows you to get nearer to the photo target without losing any resolution or quality.

The Samsung T809 also provides tons of features that you can use to spice up your photos and make them look beautiful. They are:

- White Balance (Auto, Daylight, Fluorescent, Cloudy or Sunset)
- Metering Exposure (Matrix, Weight Center or Spot)
- Scene Modes (Normal or Night)
- Multi Shots* (Normal, Panoramic, Action)

* The Multi Shots feature allows you to create 6-9 photos at normal speeds or 9-15 photos at high speeds allowing you to animate them. Example once you take 1 photo, the phone automatically takes 6-9 more photos for you. So if you miss that perfect shot you've been wanting, you have 6-9 more choices to choose from!

Other convenience features included are:

- Self Timer (3, 5 or 10 seconds)
