802.11 are technical standards and specifications
that allow wireless networking to be possible. Moreover,
they are communication standards. There are several 802.11
variants namely:
- 802.11b (also called
WiFi). WiFi enables you to connect to the internet in
a wireless manner and offers speeds upto 11mbps.
- 802.11a and 802.11g
are faster than the above standard.
