Analog transmission is a method of sending/receiving
information by using energy waves. In today's wireless
cell phones, the voice of a person is converted directly
to certain characteristics of radio waves, and vice versa.
Analog networks are currently known as "1G"
technology because their use is becoming out dated (first
deployed in the 1980s).
Analog wireless transmission is being
replaced with digital transmission services. If your service
provider does not have digital wireless transmission,
you can still get analog signal phones, that cover pretty
much the whole country.
